


1. The James Henry Scott Hong Kong PhD Scholarship
John Swire & Sons Ltd has established a PhD scholarship
tenable at the SWIMS,
The University of Hong Kong, under the Swire Educational
Trust scheme.
The scholarship supports advanced inter-disciplinary research
in physical-ecological
processes. The scholar will be supervised by international
experts from SWIMS
and the Croucher Laboratory of Environmental Hydraulics (http://www.hku.hk/
civil/envhydraulics),
Department of Civil Engineering of HKU.
Potential candidate should be a permanent resident of Hong
Kong or a national
of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) with a First Class
Honours Degree
or equivalent, in science or engineering. Holders of a good master’s
degree
(M.Sc., M.Eng. or M.Phil.) will also be considered.
